Emily Goligoski (@Emgollie) is the incoming senior director of audience research at The Atlantic. She previously served as research director for the Membership Puzzle Project at New York University. Emily worked as a user experience research lead in The New York Times newsroom and at Mozilla Foundation.
She is on the board of directors for YR Media, formerly Youth Radio. You can read her work for The Guardian, Columbia Journalism Review, OpenNews, Nieman Lab, and Poynter.
Emily completed her Master's in Learning, Design & Technology at Stanford while conducting user research at Intel Labs. She has taught at the Stanford design institute ("d.school"), The New School, and the School of Visual Arts. She reported for Chicago Public Radio (WBEZ) while studying journalism at Northwestern.
